Dungeon Crawling
This game was created using a small team to complete a 5 week sprint for a Game Development class. Being the huge fans of dungeon crawling games we are, we attempted to create a board game that implemented some of the randomness that could be found in a digital game. We hoped to create unique playing experiences during each play through

Core Mechanic
To create the random element of a dungeon, the playing board was cut up into ‘room’ cards. Each of these cards was drawn and placed onto the field starting from a beginning area, and emanating outwards. Each room card had certain entrances which could be used to move from one room to the next. At times the player could come to a dead end, or accidentally loop back on themselves. This created a unique map for every game.

The Take Away
Dungeon Dwellers was a great game and a great team experience. We worked through our divisions of labor and exchange of ideas smoothly and openly. The game developed from a very small concept to a packaged and ready beta product in 5 weeks.
