Labyrinth

What it was

The concept behind Labyrinth was to create a mobile game with an even playing field for both the sighted and visual impaired. Using surround sound audio and haptic feedback, the project is attempting to immerse the player in an audio based world using no visuals.

My Role

As the Co-Leader of the project, with my partner Lauren Harradine, I helped spearhead development, design and publicity. As the lead programmer as well, I directed development of the actual Android game.

The shown documents were designed by Lauren Harradine, with art by Ashleigh Hungerford.

Future of the Project

Though I am no longer with the project, it continues under the Association for The Blind and Visually Impaired’s supervision. At the moment, plans are under way for further development and production possibilities.
