Uncorkd

What It Was

Uncorkd was a startup app for experienced and novice wine lovers alike. It allowed you to enter, rate, and find information about wines as you drank them. It also showed you what wines your friends were drinking, and suggested wines to you based on your unique taste profile.

My Role

• I was the sole developer on the team, which included implementing the design team’s plans, all features and consulting on all app related decisions.
• The app was developed using the Android Studio IDE and Java.
• We worked to integrate the Google Maps and Facebook API’s to include location based content and easy sharing with social media.
• Participated in the pre-release side of the Software Development Cycle, including multiple iterations, user testing and design.
• Finally, I worked to integrate a large SQL database of wine information using Microsoft Azure.
